The world’s first digital automotive store
Twenty limited-edition MINI Pure Burgundys, sold like a fashion drop.

Challenge
Redefine retail urgency for a luxury automotive launch.
MINI wanted to sell 20 Pure Burgundy limited editions in less than 24 hours, blending luxury perception with digital immediacy and sparking emotional ownership.
Idea
Turn scarcity into a hot commodity.
We set up the first-ever digital pop-up store for a car, focused on its rarity and exclusivity of colour. Drawing on fashion drops, motion design and an innovative digital customisation process, we created notoriety around the MINI Pure Burgundy, billing it as the region’s ultimate and most exclusive accessory.

Countdown kick-off.
The campaign began with digital art teasers and countdowns on sponsored Instagram Stories, posts and other social media.
Add to cart, drive off.
In the style of fashion’s online pop-ups for limited-edition drops, we created a seamless, one-off digital retail experience. For the first time, audiences could select, customise and check out their own car in a few easy steps.

Capturing originality, outdoors.
AR-integrated installations at the city’s popular spots, alongside traditional billboards and posters, drove traffic to the store and deepened engagement.

Fuelling FOMO.
In the final hours, we released a series of short films starring well-known social media stars from across the region, each doing what they are best known for through the lens of exclusivity we had painted for the car. Their fame created even more FOMO, polishing off the last cars in stock.
Results & impact
20 cars sold in 26 hours.
17 cars were sold online through digital retargeting and the store itself; the remaining 3 in the showroom, through out-of-home exposure and word of mouth.
More than a third of a million views across all video, and a click-through rate of 4.7% against an industry average of 0.42%.
